![]() ![]() You actually learn this from some of his backstory in later content. Wearing it makes the most sense.Ĭ: Isaac is broke AF. ![]() Since his basic 'uniform' isn't one of the fancy suits with the collapsible built in helmets, he had to either wear it all the time or carry it in his arm. While the security and data specialist didn't have helmets, I feel that makes sense since Isaac was the only person whom would even consider needing to deal with hull breaches. It was supposed to be a simple "go fix their damn radio" job so there was no apparent need for something more 'protective'.ī: The helmet would be considered Standard Operating Procedure when you send an engineer on a job on a space ship. It's not really meant to be actively used in space for extended durations, as evidenced by the ridiculously low air capacity. ![]() My personal theory is the following points:Ī: The suit is actually just the standard CEC engineer UNIFORM. Isaac is just a regular dude doing a regular mining job. You wouldn’t send a construction worker wearing a bullet proof vest and combat webbing to go explore a job site if the foreman hasn’t called you, you’d probably just send a regular dude to go see. Meant for work in a variety of different conditions, not combat. In addition, there are better and tougher suits that were commonly used so it’s not like they were chumps in that category. It’s natural to assume that the ship would still be fully staffed, mostly functional, and decently equipped and if any further gear was needed, the ship would already have it. They just sent a small crew to go check and to assist if needed. The company obviously wouldn’t think a full blown alien infestation would have killed everyone with deadly creatures roaming the ship decks. Also, their mission was to just check up on the Ishimura after it went dark. That suit may not look like much but for a human race that has mastered deep space travel it probably does everything that an engineer would need it to do and satisfies the job requirements. Just like how a computer decades ago could fill a room but now my phone that’s hundreds of times more powerful and faster fits in my pocket. Modern day suits are so big and bulky because we are still relatively new to space exploration, especially the humans in space part. ![]()

![]() ![]() 9 203MM guns that fire every 5.5 seconds with a 15.8km range. This ship can be called an HE Spammer IMO even though it is a T10. Good toughness and the biggest HP pool of the T6 Cruisers. Only limitation is the range could be better at just 14.6km. ![]() The ship also has excellent AP as well for when it is needed. 12 guns that fire every 8 seconds with a high shell arc so you can hide behind islands and burn enemy ships down. Shell arc and range aren't great but again it is low tier and it has a lot of HP and armor so it can get closer to burn things up. While more like a small Battleship than a Cruiser the STL has a lot of guns for low tier and 8 second reloads. ![]() However, you specifically said “Spammer” and that is very different than just good HE damage IMO. This list doesn’t mean that the ships not listed can’t do decent HE damage. Here are the standard tech tree ships by nation that for me qualify as HE Spammers T3-T10. There is no tech tree of ships to research. Obviously the British ships are out as the only one that has HE is the premium Belfast. Not all ships in the line will be true Spammers while some will. T5/T6 however is where certain ships/ship lines stand out at Spamming though and it is where you need to start deciding how much further to proceed if HE Spamming is what you want to do. Just having good HE damage tech specs doesn't make a ship an HE Spammer IMO and with all due respect to the others. To me Spamming implies a butt load of shells coming at a rapid rate.Īll the ship lines that have HE available through T4 can burn most ships down really. To me for a ship to “Spam” HE it needs a reasonable to fast rate of fire( 8 seconds or less ), a lot of guns( 9 minimum ), good range for it’s tier, and the ability to sit behind islands and shoot up and over them. Britsih line only has one ship at all with HE and it is a Premium so they are out as far as researching a line goes. The Russian line has the most and the US line has some excellent ones. The IJN ships on paper have good HE damage but they are hardly Spammers. I wouldn't call the Japanese Cruiser line "HE Spammers" at all. ![]() |
